Thanks for your thoughts, David. Two comments in response to your question. First, innovation doesn&#039;t mean that you create something that&#039;s never been done before. If you are taking some great ideas and then applying in your unique context, that is innovative. Second, the best innovation occurs when people with different gifts and perspectives collaborate. Find those people, especially the ones that think differently and aren&#039;t tied to old ways of doing things, and get them to brainstorm with each other.]]></description>

Where I have struggled in the past is trying to create something totally unique, because there are so many great ideas already out there.  I guess what I&#039;m trying to say is, if I read seven books on a subject, then try to develop an innovative strategy for my church, it seems like all I&#039;m really doing is tweaking what others are already doing.  Any thoughts on how I can think more innovatively?]]></description>
