It might be as simple as intentionally scheduling one or two meetings a week with people who are not in any kind leadership position – the newcomers or the marginally involved. There are risks in doing this. It takes time away from other important tasks. Someone may get mad that you didn’t meet with them. You may hear something you didn’t want to know.
